Comments on: The cheapest ATMs in Phnom Penh /practicalities/free-phnom-penh-atms/ Wed, 19 Feb 2025 09:59:00 +0000 hourly 1 By: Matt /practicalities/free-phnom-penh-atms/comment-page-6/#comment-235414 Wed, 19 Feb 2025 09:59:00 +0000 /?p=11844#comment-235414 I withdrew $900 and compared the fee at about five different ATMS: BRED was still the lowest at $4. Of the others, ABA was the only one to let me withdraw the amount in one transaction, but their fee is progressive and for $900 would have been $13. (The others had a $500 limit and making two transactions would have double any fee charged by my bank.)
I think BRED’s transaction limit was $2000, which of course can be used to buy many, many loaves of bread.

I have a local ABA account but also a Wise Card. I always use Saccom to withdraw funds from my Wise Account. Cost me $2.10 to withdraw $140 today. Vietnamese Bank.

As far as I can tell, BRED Bank remains the best option for both Mastercard and Visa ($4 and $200 limit – your card issuer’s limit notwithstanding). Vattanac Bank is also $4 but has a $500 daily withdrawal limit.
