It’s true, Champa Mekong should be avoided (I’ll update this post). Kampot Tours and Travel are fine. All of them often run a bit late, though.

Which bus company would you recommend?
When I read the comments on bookmebus about champa mekong or ctt, these doesn’t seem a good option?
How about Kampot Tours & Travels, are they reasonably ok?
Thanks for your advice!

The 2h minivan trip turned into a 3h15 bus ride. It took 1h to pick up passengers with the big 33-seater bus, then 25min to find up gas, including 9 big plastic containers that went into the luggage hold! Luggage had to be put under your feet, seats worn out, making for an uncomfortable ride. A/C was turned off for parts of the ride, until passengers started to complain. Driver was acerage-crazy by local standards.
I was expecting some delay for pick-up and gas, but a mini-van would be faster and more comfortable. Not to mention safer when not riding on 500l of combustible fuel not stored safely…
I didn’t realize till after that Giant Ibis is now offering the route! Take them instead, safe time and troubles…
