I didnt end up getting the bus as I chose to take a private taxi to avoid another night in Bangkok. I can tell you that there ate now 2 departures from bangkok each day in morning one from Giant Ibis Office at 7:45 and one an hour later from
Makkasan Station Bangkok. Border crossing was easy no one approached me for assistance or scam.
